Kate Bosworth Biography

Whether riding a horse or riding a wave, there's no mistaking sunny, fresh-faced Kate Bosworth. An award-winning equestrian who grew up in San Francisco and on the East Coast, she answered her first-ever movie casting call at 14 for the role in The Horse Whisperer that ended up going to Scarlett Johansson, but did land a part, that of the best friend. After taking some time off, she went on to star in some teen-oriented flicks (Remember the Titans, Blue Crush) and some edgier movies (Rules of Attraction, Wonderland) and has put off going to Princeton to act. Her biggest role to date is that of Lois Lane in Superman Returns.

2. A natural brunette, she has one blue eye, one hazel eye.
3. She was knocked unconscious while surfing on-set for Blue Crush.
4. She's known for her on-again, off-again relationship with Orlando Bloom.
5. Her Whisperer co-star Johansson was considered for the Lois Lane role that went to Kate.
