Elisha Cuthbert Biography

The oldest of three children, Elisha (nicknamed 'Leesh') grew up in a French-speaking area of Canada. Just five weeks after her move to Los Angeles at age 17, the captivating Cuthbert was cast as Kim Bauer in the hit television series 24. Her inevitable Hollywood film career began with small roles in Old School and Love Actually, both in 2003, before she landed her first lead role in The Girl Next Door (2004). Subsequent projects include sharing the screen with Paris Hilton in the 2005 remake of the horror classic House of Wax and both co-starring and co-producing the indie film The Quiet (2006). With her starring role in the 2007 thriller Captivity, Cuthbert dabbles yet again in dark-themed material.


1. When she was 7, she started modeling for various lines of children's clothing and also became a foot model.
2. While trotting the globe as a correspondent for the award-winning TV series Popular Mechanics for Kids (1997), she caught the eye of First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton and was invited to Washington for a meeting with her.

4. She appeared in the music video for Weezer's "Perfect Situation" in early 2006, playing the group's fictional original singer who threw a tantrum that led to Rivers Cuomo, the unlikely roadie, becoming the frontman of the band.
5. She has expressed an interest in returning to live in Montreal once she has reached her "higher goals" and "feels content" about her career.
