Ashton Kutcher Biography

Far from being the dopey Kelso from That '70s Show, Kutcher was a biochemical engineering major at the University of Iowa (in hopes that one day he could help find a cure for his fraternal twin brother's heart condition). He was discovered by a modeling agent and soon went from sweeping up Cheerios at a General Mills plant to jet-setting around the world. He moved to Los Angeles to be an actor and was up for two parts he had to decide between on the same day — Kelso, and that of a cowboy surfer in a show that he didn't choose and that was canceled almost immediately. Kutcher's now best known for his Candid Camera–like MTV show picking on celebs, Punk'd, which took off in ways his movie career hasn't (yet), and for dating Demi Moore.

2. He's of Irish and Native American descent.
3. His restaurant in Los Angeles, Dolce, has been burglarized twice.
4. He was kicked out of his high-school play, Annie, for drinking.
5. He decided to go by his middle name because there was already a Chris at his modeling agency.
